RAPID MODELING

Ferriot’s rapid prototyping capabilities can put functional prototypes in your hands a few days after the initial design is complete. These dimensionally stable and highly accurate models allow precise assessment of the fit and function of components. You can rely on them to identify potential design improvements or to test your product in the marketplace.

Send your CAD or STL file and we can create a model using one of our existing rapid modeling technologies. The result is a prototype model with high dimensional accuracy.

RAPID TOOLING

From a working model (yours or ours), urethane prototypes can be created in our vacuum-cast process. Resins can be selected that simulate thermoplastics and rubber, which demonstrate various hardness and flexibility characteristics. The resulting prototypes are replicas of the original model, including the finest details and surface properties.

If a higher prototype quantity is needed or if the life of a program is low volume, cast aluminum-epoxy, cast Kirksite (zinc alloy) or machined aluminum molds may fulfill your requirements. All of these rapid tooling processes allow actual resin to be injected for UL approval.
